I got up at 5:30 am and went to visit Tokei Shrine for the first visit of the new year. I made chawan-mushi to eat with dinner.

We were busy all day long. Today was the first day of work.

We had a party to celebrate the new year at 7 pm. Before I went to bed, I took a hot spring bath.

I was busy all day long, but I didn’t get much done.

I talked to my dad to wish him a late happy birthday. I chided him on the rhythm of his life not being so good.
Jan. 25, Tue. Cloudy, rain
I met two of my friends. They both looked well, so I was glad. We stood and talked for a while.
Jan. 30, Sun.Clear and a little cold
We had a Mexican theme party. There were 19 people at the party. I met my friend’s wife. I hadn’t seen her for about fifteen years, but we were soon like old friends again.
